HAPPY XMAS TO ALL OUR MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES
Junior Cricket Success
The club is pleased to announce that two Neston CC players have been awarded a place amongst Cheshire’s Elite Players. The EPP has been reconfigured for 2017/18 to incorporate a two-tier system. Toby Brown + Will Colwell are two of only 10 players in total, across four county age groups (U13-16), who have been awarded an EPP Tier 1 place – in fact Neston are the only Cheshire club to have two representatives on the new Tier 1 programme.
They will spend the next 6 months benefiting from sport psychologists, nutritionists, physiotherapy screenings and a tailored program of a 1-2-1 coaching programme. Both Toby and Will captained their respective county age groups for the 2017 season.
Over the weekend, both cricket squares have been scarified, raked, seeded and fertiliser applied. This was carried out by our Ground staff, Graeme Scurr and Steve Woolley with the help of two specialists. We invest circa £20k per year on each square on probably the best amateur grounds in Cheshire if not the North. A big thank you to them and the dry weather that followed!
